Indeed. The passage Num. 14:26-15:7 details how the Lord’s disappointment and anger towards Israel was kindled after she rejected the promised land upon hearing the report from the spies. Father’s promise of providing the chosen nation with a land flowing with milk and honey was abruptly taken off the table. This promise, however, would be given to the rejectors’ children. The rejectors would wander in the wilderness for 40-years: one year for each day the spies scouted out the land. These wandering souls would ultimately die in the wilderness, never realizing their promised inheritance.
Upon hearing the Father’s disposition, some of the people became remorseful and attempted to conquer the land. However, it was too late. The shelf-life of Yah’s promise had expired. As Shaul taught the Corinthians (ref. 2 Cor. 6:2) And in a day of salvation did I succor thee: behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation): (2Co 6:2 ASV). This story paints an amazing prophetic shadow picture that millions of well meaning but sorely well misled christians are missing. Only those who obey Father and who seize the opportunity given to them will receive the promised land. In our case, that promised land is the Kingdom of Yehovah. So many are misled to thinking that they are under grace and that Yah will graciously provide the promise without any action on our part. However, Yah requires obedience and a willing heart to act when He says act. The people loss their opportunity to seize the land. Now is our opportunity to seize the kingdom. The kingdom is ours to lose. Millions are in the process right now of losing their inheritance because of a perverted grace doctrine. We know better. We must continue on in the Faith and not make the mistake of our cousins in churchianity. We’ve been given the blessing and inheritance that was meant for the children of promise. Let us not squander that promise, but with boldness, conquer the land. May you be most blessed today saint in training. Shalom.
