My name is Rod Thomas, and I serve as the founder and voice behind The Messianic Torah Observer, an online ministry dedicated to proclaiming and promoting Yeshua‑focused Torah Living. My heart is to help prepare an elect and chosen people to receive and enter the coming Kingdom of God.

Content: My journey began early. At age 13, I was ordained as a Deacon in the Baptist Church, where I first learned to love Scripture and serve God’s people. Over the next several decades, I lived out that calling through two demanding careers — 21 years as a United States Navy officer, followed by service as the Manager of Coroner Operations for the Orange County Coroner’s Office. These experiences shaped my character, discipline, and compassion for people in all walks of life.

In 2005, I entered what I now call Phase One of my Messianic journey through the teachings of the United Church of God and the Church of God International. In 2012, Phase Two began — a fuller awakening to the Nazarene/Messianic Faith and the centrality of Yeshua‑centered Torah obedience. That transformation changed everything.

I launched The Messianic Torah Observer as a small online ministry. Over the years, Abba has expanded the work far beyond what I imagined — from virtual and in‑person speaking engagements beginning in 2012, to ministry trips to Kenya in recent years. Alongside my wife, Hilary, we have led two home fellowships and I pastored a small congregation in Baltimore from 2019–2020.

Today, this ministry continues primarily online — through teachings, podcasts, studies, and resources designed to strengthen disciples of Yeshua in their covenant walk. My mission is simple: to encourage, equip, and inspire faithful Torah‑keeping disciples who reflect the character of Messiah in a world desperately in need of His light.
